Criminal Justice degree with my Computer Science Degree for entry in to FBI? I currently have a Computer Science degree and would like to become a Special Agent in the FBI. Would an additional degree in Criminal Justice be beneficial to me? If not, is there any other education that I should complete to reach this goal? Thanks in advance for your input. It sounds like you are trying to major in Bioinfomatics. (sp?)This is an mixture of the two. There are books in the library on the subject and you can do an online search for it. This is a very good field to get into. There are quite a few colleges that offer this major. There is a big demand for this kind of work and the money is good.

My husband has a computer science degree with about 2 years of experience with one of the world's largest information systems centers (Wal-Mart). We are very interested in the officer programs offered by the different branches of the military, but we honestly just don't know that much about them. Which branch would offer good career choices for this degree?

Any branch will take you. For the best training and civilian job translation go Air Force and get into intelligence. Talk to an officer recruiter. Find one near you online at www.airforce.com. I knew an orderly room (administration) Captain once who had a chemical engineering degree. Nice guy. Never asked him if he thought it was a waste for him to have that job tho. good luck

I am certainly no expert but I don't think that "Computer Science Degree" equates to "Game Programming", unless you know programming stuff... But then again what do I know?

It sounds like you really want to be a game designer, at this point since you are just about to graduate high school you should already be designing your own interactive computer games (everyone else going for a career in game design is) when you go to college you should be at the top of your class (everyone else going for a career in game design is) and should be building a portfolio of games that you can show to prospective employers when you are ready to graduate(everyone else going for a career in game design is). When you graduate you will be one of a million people looking for a job in game design so you better have the best portfolio and greatest personality of all the job seekers. After graduation if you are lucky enough to get a job be ready to work 80-100 hours a week and get paid little (because really there are thousands of geeks out there ready to take your place at the drop of a hat).
