How much does a computer science degree...? matter when it comes to the job world. How well does going through a computer science major prepare you for a career in the field? How much do employers care about a degree? How does this apply to computer engineering?

Hello...... my thoughts are.... In the "developed" world in which we live it is expected that you must have a certin leval of education in order to find a higher paying job. I have met a few people with limited schooloing who have a high IQ and met highly educated people who well....are not the sharpest tool in the shed. One thing school will give you is the basic knowlage in the field in which you choose to go into. Now what you do with that knowlage is up to you. ...no degree no interview.....C.O's could be/are missing out on some good people with no degree. ...School give you kinda basic training and up to you to develop that. some times we have to do steps 1 2 3 to get to 4 For my self I have been in a number of fields and I have learned knowlage is a good thing....something you onced learned in one field could be used in another.
