You mean a Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science? Yes I'd say it's useful but going to grad school will make it better.

Yes. You can obtain certifications in specific technologies such as SAP or Microsoft or Oracle to make yourself more marketable as a practitioner.

If you look at something like medical science, that will be HUGE in computer science. Anything related to health care and computer science, or genetics, or bioinformatics, will be in demand. Its as simple as when they talk about electronic medical records, or realtime compute power - and storage required, for medical imaging. Other fields in science, anything related to the environment for example, always needs simultations in computer science.

Computer Science is an incredible major to get into as far as job opportunities exiting college. Graduating from any top 50 school and you'll be inundated with job offers. Graduating from other schools beyond that will be a little harder to find work but you'll get a well paying position eventually. Even with respect to lesser schools, I've never known anyone who graduated with a CS degree and wasn't able to find decent work in the field by the end of year.
