computer science students don't only know how to program, the programming skills gives them excellent insight views and the high maths could help them analyse things, so in what field of finance should a computer science student go (perhaps with a masters degree in finance)

If you are good at math and statistics, there is a lot you can do in the financial world. All of the big banks, investment banks, auditing firms, etc hire tons of CompSci majors to do stuff like develop forecasting models and analyze trends and risk forecasting. If you are still in school, take accounting and a couple of finance classes so you have the basic background. Also a financial derivatives class would help you a lot.
